Join the Sawyer Family and the Corey Zink Band for an afternoon of bluegrass music at the historic Bellows Falls Opera House. This event will benefit the Compass School Global Connections Program, bringing education beyond the school walls.
Seth and Candi Sawyer are Compass School parents and have created this wonderful event to support the Global Connections Program. The Seth Sawyer Band has years of experience entertaining people with classic bluegrass music. Seth Sawyer is the gentle giant of New England bluegrass music. His soulful yet powerful tenor voice combine with the strength of his conviction in the lyrics he sings evoke a powerful response in those who know his work. Seth’s songs have been recorded by The Gibson Brothers, David Davis & the Warrior River Boys, and the Pine Hill Ramblers. Songs like Long Forgotten Dream (which went to #10 on the Bluegrass Unlimited charts), Engineer Without a Train, One More Time I Must Rise, Old Leather Bag, and Spread Your Wings are well known through recordings and Seth’s renditions of them with his band. Fans in New England call for him to sing his own songs as well as his versions of Gibson Brothers songs and bluegrass classics. The Corey Zink Band is firmly rooted in the traditions of the early decades of bluegrass and country music.
